I am having an error issue in Lightroom 3

Has anyone experienced an error in their lightroom 3 that says: (RED X)" The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." I am not sure where to begin to sort this out... i have gone in through programs just incase the issue was a "short cut" problem... however, this did nothing, same error... unable to use program at this time... very frustrated! If anyone can provide suggestions i would greatly appreciate it!!
