There are two files when I export to mpg2?

Hello

I would like to make DVD of my finished project. When I export to mpg2 there are is a two files. The first file is a movi from my projekt, and what is the other file?  Usually i burn in Nero, should I use the other file to something

Before I exported it to mpg2, I have I always export to avi file. What is the difference?

    Two files is normal for DVD creation, an .m2v for video and a .wav for audio.  Bring them both into your authoring app.

    If you are going to create a DVD and not a BluRay you should export to MPEG2 DVD and then use the separate video and audio files in your authoring program

    Yes, MPEG4 is a newer and better codec, but you can't put it on a DVD, so...

    Exactly what are the file extensions on the four files?

     

    My guess is that you are seeing the Video Steam, the Audio Stream and then the two helper files XMP and XMPS, that would have been used to mux the two Streams, had you had Multiplexing ON. For DVD authoring, your two separate Steam files are all that you need, and are the preferred way to Export the Timeline.
