Hello,
I've had Photoshop Elements for a little over a year now, but it has suddenly stopped working. I get the message that it is an 'error 6'. Here's the message I get:
Please uninstall and reinstall the product.
If this problem still occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help, and mention the the error code shown at the bottom of the screen.
Error: 6
I got the program with my PC, and when I googled it I read that 'error 6' was a message that the license had gone out, or that the copy was likely pirated. I've tried the licensing program, but it did unfortunately not work. Neither is it pirated, as I got it from the retail store.
Is there anything I can do to fix it?
Review this link http://www.modelmayhem.com/po.php?thread_id=669775 and try the solution. The steps work for PSE as well.
Let me know your comments,
Thanks,
Garry
Locale corresponds to the language in which PSE is installed on your machine.
I would suggest going to Customer Support for once, without making any more changes that might risk your PSE9 installation.
In the US you can call: 1-800-642-3623 or 800-833-6687 or check the link : http://www.adobe.com/support/download-install/supportinfo/
