Links in artwork missing in cs4 but visible in cs2.

When opening in CS4 get a message links missing but not when opening with cs2. Anyone else ever encounter this?

    I encounter it all the time if the CS4 file or any of it's linked files have been moved.

    When i open artwork in cs4 i get warning links are missing and they are missing in links panel...when i open in cs2 it opens normally with links showing in links panel. Artwork was supplied to me and created in cs4.

    Then what you experience is quite normal. CS2 opens the PDF part of the file, which contains the embedded links. Ask the people who sent you the file for the images.
