My form field highlight color is being changed on all my forms.  Preferences doesn't fix the problem

Hi! I've seen this question asked before (it was posted in 2010), but the issue wasn't completely answered.  All of a sudden, the forms I made in Acrobat are opening with dark gray field highlights: not only on my computer, but on other computers in the office as well.  The dark gray highlight makes the text unreadable.  When I go into preferences to check the field highlight color, it shows as the usual light blue.  When I change it to some other light color to test it, the change only works until I restart my computer.

 

I'm on windows 7, by the way....

    It's possible to change that highlight color setting with a script, so

    maybe one of the files you're using is doing so.

    Although possible, it is considered bad form to mess around with the user's

    settings without letting them know or reverting the changes when your file

    is closed, but it's possible someone didn't care about that...
