Folders in adobe organizer elements 11

Jan 17, 2013 3:47 AM

Hi,

can anyone help with the folders in adobe organizer elements 11?  Hundreds of folders with weird names were created when my photos were imports from iphoto.... how are the folders created? How is the naming convention created?  They do not make sense?

    Please right click on the folder name >> reveal in finder. Looks like some Date-seq e.g. 2011/05/24-some no. Probably some thumbnail folder in iPhoto Lib?

    Reveal in Finder will explain the same.

    Thanks

    I dunno much about iPhoto but if you choose to import directly into Organizer from a card/camera etc. you may choose to organizer your photos in folders labelled according to shot date/shot time/and many such combinations, using Cmd+G (shortcut for Adobe Photo Downloader)

    Thanks

    If you don't want your photos to go automatically into iphoto, you can choose what happens to them in the iphoto preferences. If you choose No Application here;

    Screen Shot 2013-02-12 at 2.48.22 PM.png

    the card will mount like a  drive  on your desktop and you can drag out the folder with the photos and put it where you want, then use File>Get Photos>From files and folders to import. Or you can launch the photo downloader as andaleebfatima1 suggested, but since you have to do this manually every time on the mac, it doesn't seem as useful as it is in windows, unless you need to apply a metadata template.
