Playing .vob files from a website

Jan 21, 2013 1:11 PM

Hi: I have a dvd movie we had made in .vob format. I want to put the movie on our website for viewers to see from there. What would be the steps to take to do this? Do I need to convert any of these files first and if so, how should that be done? There are three .vob files, the largest being around 500 mb. Thanks so much.

Those are huge files for the web.  Go grab something like Handbrake and convert them to smaller MP4 files.  Then grab something like PicklePlayer ( http://www.pickleplayer.com/ ) to embed them on your site.

You need to rip it.  I use Alive DVD Ripper.

My copy of Alive is pretty old.

A Google search for DVD Rippers will reveal many others you might try.
