PSE10/11 - Installation Problem

Jan 22, 2013 11:30 AM

Hi,

last week I tried the trial version of PSE11. The installation worked without any problems, but the program didn't work properly, so I uninstalled it.

Today I got a PSE10 DVD from a friend to try this as trial version. The installation runs through the end and then rolls back. As reason for that failed installation it gives:"Shared Technologies"

Remember, the installation with PSE11 worked last week, but today it doesnt. Neither with PSE10 nor with PSE11. That's really odd.

I tried everything on this http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/install-rollback-photosho p-elements-windows.html and this site http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-installation -photoshop-elements-premiere.html#main_Error__Below_mentioned_applicat ions_have_failed_to_install__Shared_technologies_

Nothing helped and now I'm a little bit annoyed and hope someone has an idea. *sigh*

Thanks,

Margy

Does your system meet the minimum requirements?

All I can suggest is to uninstall and re-install again. It sometimes works if you copy the disk contents to the desktop and then install from there.

When re-installing it will help if you temporarily disable any internet security/anti-virus software.

Also check in task manager, and if any other Adobe applications or processes are running - kill them before you start.

Try creating a new user account with full admin privlidges (e.g. read/write/execute) and try the install afresh.
