extend a clip

Jan 23, 2013 7:54 AM

Apologies for the vague question as I'm not sure what I want to know, but I know what I want to do.\

I have a clip that ends with a 2second view of the companies contact details.

I want that to show for say 8 seconds. I tried to capture a screen shot and insert that as a still image but it looks terrible.

Found a command to extend the clip but that didn't work.

Considered copying the clip, using the razer tool to cut out the "frame I needed" and then inserting it three of four times to gain the time.

Overall I suppose my question is am I making this too complicated?  I normaly find I struggle and then find a built in tool!!

thanks

Ian

There are a few ways to do this.  My preferred method is to export out a frame of the shot you want to hold (CTRL+SHIFT+E), import that frame and use it as a still to make it last as long as you want.
