End Action Set To Return to Chapter 1 But Timeline Won't Loop

Hi all,

Trying to loop specific timelines in Encore CS6 for a blu-ray.  I understand that the way to achieve this is to set hte TImeline's End Action back to the first chapter.  I have done this for all the timelines in question, but none of them will acutally loop.  At the end of the video the timeline returns to the previous menu screen.

The videos are encoded 720p H264 Blu-Ray.

Any thoughts as to why it is behaving this way?  I am gonig to try deleting and re-importing the asset, re-building/linking the timeline, but other than that I'm out of ideas.

Let me know if you need more information.  Thanks for any suggestions!

Lindsay

Is this on a burned BluRay in a BR player?

    Do you have ANY overrides?

How about a picture of your flowchart?

You should NEVER use overrides until you are 100% sure you know what they do, and the problems they can cause

I don't use/understand overrides... but I have read MANY messages like yours... and the advice is always "do not use overrides"

As you have found out, Overrides can be set in various places.

Once, they were necessary, but with Playlists, and Chapter Playlists, they sort of became obsolete, except for very rare instances, and very specialized uses.

As John T. points out, unless one have one of those rare, specialized instances, and then fully understand Overrides, they should not be used, as they almost always cause issues.

Good luck, and thank you for reporting your success.
