DW issues

Jan 23, 2013 11:50 AM

I'm having issue with my mouse and DW. Example; difficulty moving photos into a draft. Sometimes it will not pickup the photo from my file and move it on to the draft. Also working with the Hotspot tool, will not draw a rectangle. The second I place onto draft, it makes a small box vice follows my draw. What's up???? Is there something not turned on or off?? curser issue

    Use Insert menu > Image.

Click on image.  Hotspot tools should work.

If not, try closing DW and rebooting your computer.

Sounds like a focus issue.  Which OS?  Which version & build # of DW?

You need to turn on hidden folders in Windows to see the path David discusses.

Start > Control Panels > Folder Options > View

There will be a radio button for Hidden files and folders, set it to "Show hidden files, folders and drives"

You will then be able to see the referenced path. Once you are finished with the instructions there, you can turn the Hidden files and folders back to "Don't show..."

The location is explained by David in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/494811

    In your case

    Windows 7/Vista:

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CSx\<language>\Configuration

That is also not going to be the exact name, the ******** will be a set of letters and numbers, not actually astrisks.

It's your Windows username on your local computer.

In my case, I log on to my computer as John.

    So my path begins C:\Users\John\AppData.........

Yours will be whatever username you use on Windows 7.
