Backgrounds for photoshop elements 11

Jan 25, 2013 1:20 AM

Is it possible to create your own backgrounds and store them in an online repository or on local harddrive?

I cant find any folder containing backgrounds on my pc - have tried looking in the presets folder - but no luck

finding them.

I read that for space conserving issues the backgrounds supplied with photoshop are now online and when they

are used for the first time that asset is downloaded to pc - but where are they stored?

    On a windows xp machine:

    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\11.0\Photo Creations

Then you should see several folders including the backgrounds folder.

For any windows system you need to have Show hidden files and folders enabled in the folder options to see the folders.

Also, the path/location that domnic gave above applies on vista and windows 8 as well.
