How do I open UNICODE text file in Adobe Illustrator CS5 when the UNICODE option is GRAY-MARKED ?

 

Currently, I am only allowed to open ANSI text files and not UNICODE text files...

 

But, I wish to open UNICODE text files .

    Well, what "Unicode" text files? In CS5, support for specific encoding required the pertinent Asian/ Middle East versions. That's no different than with the normal font stuff. Otherwise Unicode and ANSII use the same encoding on the first 1024 characters and there should be no problem whatsoever.
