I have photoshop elements 11. People analyzer will not reconize people or allow me to tag people in my photos. It works with my older camera photos such as from my Nikon D300 but will not work with photos from my D800 (RAW).
Yes. Actually I had Photoshop Elements 10 which had the same issue. I upgraded to photoshop 11 and have the same problem. I thought the upgrade might resolve the problem. I also have applied all update to-date. All of the other functions seem to work OK. Every so often, it will let a photo go through the analyizer but it is not consistant. The problem just started when I upgraded to the D800. All I use is RAW because I also have lightroom.

The import of my files works fine. Photoshop works fine. Organizer function of people analysis does not work. This is the only funtion that I am aware of that doesn't work. I use this to organize my photos by people content. All my old photos this function has worked without issue. The recent photos taken with the D800 does not work. The people analysis is used prior to tagging people names. This entire function does not work.
Right, but since there aren't other people here complaining that it doesn't work for the D800, the odds are that it's something in your setup, and looking through it piece by piece is the best way to narrow it down.
I have spent a great deal of time trying to re-configure photoshop up to and including upgrading to Photoshop Elements 11 hoping that would take care of the problem. I have also searched the web only to find other users having issues with people analizer in Organizer. i have tried everything to narrow down the issue and that is when I came up with the D800 file size or related issue. Any ideas are welcome but I do believe that it is a photoshop issue. Many users I have found of the D800 seem to use Lightroom for their organizer. I also have Lightroom4 but do not want to spend the time to re-organize my photos using this process. I have been using Organizer for a long time and have approximately 20,000 photos most of which have been organized using Photoshop Organizer. I have a lot of time invested in this process. It is the only thing I use Element for at this time. I sure would like to get working. Maybe another D800 user can see this and comment.
