Hello! I originally asked this in PS for Beginners, and a very nice guy was trying to help me but wasn't familiar with Elements. He suggested I post my question here in the hopes someone might be able to help me. I have some scanned .pdf files that I need to edit and then upload to use in a photo book. When I open them in PSE 11, I get 2 options. 1. Pages (Rasterize) which keeps the image around the original size when I export as .jpg and 2. Images (Extract) which ends up being about 3 times the original size. (See screenshots below) I'm wondering what's the difference between the 2 options and which, if either, is better quality for printing? I'm trying to prepare to make a photo book for my Grandpa who doesn't have a lot of time left. Thanks so much!
I'm surprised no one seems to have any insight on this. Does anyone know somewhere else I could ask my question? Maybe a staff member would know. I would really appreciate any help. The more I learn, the more I realize I have SO much else to learn!
This is probably an area no one is familar with. I have imported pdf's and edited them but they weren't important to me(not pictures) so I didn't pay much attention.
You will have to play around and determine which works best for you.
FYI-many of us only visit the forum once a day.
I know its probably too late but did you have a look at this help link about importing from pdf in Photoshop Elements.
