InDesign keeps closing me out because of JavaScript plug-in

I can’t open my InDesign CS 6 software because this message keeps popping up forcing me to close out: Cannot load InDesign.exe because it requires JavaScript. Please install the JavaScript plug-in and restart InDesign. It seems I have the plug-in, but nothing I do is working. I don't want to further mess up anything, so if anyone can help, I will appreciate it! Thanks
