I paid for CS6 ages ago but for some time I've been reading here and elsewhere about problems some people have been experiencing with Premiere 6 on both PCs and Macs. For me Premiere 5.5 and Encore 5.1 on my Macs have worked well with only a tolerable number of problems but it occured to me that even if I don't start using Premiere 6 just yet maybe it would be a good idea to try Encore 6.
I've looked around and I'm not sure I understand what improvements there are in Encore 6 as opposed to version 5. Would it be a good idea to upgrade that part of my workflow ie., continue using Premiere 5.5 and use Encore 6? Would I gain much?
Thanks in advance for opinions and ideas.
http://www.adobe.com/products/encore/features.html has information... the main new thing I see is that Encore CS6 is now 64bit
Thanks for that John, I did actually see that document and as it doesn't indicate any dramatic change in the way it works I suppose it's probably worth my trying, yes? Faster encoding would be the main thing for someone (like me) who imports a few timelines along with video and sound for the DVD menus? Probably no incompatibilities with anything like that coming out of Premiere 5 and into Encore CS6..?
