File Info

I'm moving from Photoshop (CS2) to Elements. In Photshop I entered caption, photographer, etc information into the File Info section of all photos. I could also enter/edit file info in Bridge. But i can't find this data in Elements. Is it viewable/editable in either Elements Organiser or Editor?

Editor>File>File Info should bring this up, on a mac anyway (sorry, don't have access to windows at the moment to check):

Alternately you can view the same info in Organizer in the Information Panel, present on the right hand side of the app.

    Thanks

The information panel does not give you anywhere the options for adding information that file info does, though.

You can select a thumbnail in Organizer and click on the three dots in the metadata panel to add or remove metadata and then re-save.

You can also batch edit by selecting multiple thumbnails and clicking the information tab. The options then appear to apend or overwrite metadata.

    It's a hidden gem in PSE11!

Yes that also works in Windows. Hovering over the description in the metadata panel brings up the entire caption.
