I'm moving from Photoshop (CS2) to Elements. In Photshop I entered caption, photographer, etc information into the File Info section of all photos. I could also enter/edit file info in Bridge. But i can't find this data in Elements. Is it viewable/editable in either Elements Organiser or Editor?
Thanks Barbara. And it's in the obvious place (where it is in Photoshop). I was used to seeing it (and being able to edit it) in Bridge and was surprised it wasn't visible anywhere in Elements Organiser or Editor (unless I've missed it). Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
You can select a thumbnail in Organizer and click on the three dots in the metadata panel to add or remove metadata and then re-save.
You can also batch edit by selecting multiple thumbnails and clicking the information tab. The options then appear to apend or overwrite metadata.
It's a hidden gem in PSE11!
Thanks for that 99jon. Yes, it's a hidden gem, and it's a way of entering File Info data in Organiser like I used to do in Bridge. But the append/overwrite option isn't available for the Description field, but that wouldn't affect me as I would never want to append Description data to multiple files. Also, a closer look at the Information panel following your answer shows that the Description field is indeed there. I missed it before. But it only shows the first and last words with an elipsis between. Hovering the pointer over it however brings up a 'tooltip' which shows the full text (Mac OS).
