Inserting entire clips ignoring edit points

Jan 30, 2013 7:25 PM

I want to insert multiple entire clips onto the timeline. I drag them directly from the bin onto the timeline, but Premiere only grabs the parts inside the In and Out edit points.

Okay. So I need to get rid of the edit points. I've been editing all day so all my clips have them. But there doesn't seem to be a way to clear them from multiple clips at once.

Is there a procedure here I can follow? Please help. Am I missing something, or did this functionality change in CS6 from 5.5?

Its a strange behaviour and needs to be sorted.

I never noticed it before because I have never tried it.

I can see how it would be very annoying though!

eg.  Make an edit then someone needs full takes  exported  for reference

One at a time, brother.  Has always been so.

Next time, grab the whole clips before you set In/Out points.  (I got bit by this one, too.  Only once, though.)

    Better and easier solution.

Open a New Project and reimport the source clips required.

Wasnt thinking about this as starting an edit over again.

Why do you need the clips without the In / Out points?

A meaty discussion about this can be found here...

    http://forums.adobe.com/message/5830137

But the answer is this... "Simply select the clips in the project panel and hit the shortcut key for clear in or out (Opt I/O) or clear in AND out (Opt X)."

    CS7 only
