I want to insert multiple entire clips onto the timeline. I drag them directly from the bin onto the timeline, but Premiere only grabs the parts inside the In and Out edit points.
Okay. So I need to get rid of the edit points. I've been editing all day so all my clips have them. But there doesn't seem to be a way to clear them from multiple clips at once.
Is there a procedure here I can follow? Please help. Am I missing something, or did this functionality change in CS6 from 5.5?
Its a strange behaviour and needs to be sorted.
I never noticed it before because I have never tried it.
I can see how it would be very annoying though!
eg. Make an edit then someone needs full takes exported for reference
Similar conclusion though. Why should I have to close out a project just to export some clips that are already imported? I think most would agree this function is ripe for implementation by the merits of basic functionality alone.
Notwithstanding it's visibility in my typical workflow, I can see how it might have been overlooked, but don't worry, we found it now.
A meaty discussion about this can be found here...
But the answer is this... "Simply select the clips in the project panel and hit the shortcut key for clear in or out (Opt I/O) or clear in AND out (Opt X)."
