Target File Cannot Be Created

Feb 1, 2013 7:33 AM

I'm trying to output a Bridge Lightroom Flash gallery.

I get the following error message

The target file cannot be created.

There are two possible reasons:

1. Disk space is innsufficient.

2. The target file path is too long.

Never had this happen before.

I cleared out the cache. So it can't be anything like that.

It's the latest version.

I'm on a new iMac with 2g, and 16g...

Is there some kind of limitation on how many photos can be used?

How much free space do you have on target directory?

Could this be a permission issue?

    Never had this happen before.

Whenever Bridge starts odd behavior out of the blue first thing to try is a reset of the preferences, restart bridge holding down option key and choose Reset preferences and then try again.

Be aware that this resets prefs to factory default so first check if does work now and the reset your custom wishes for prefs. But often this simple solution solves the vast majority of odd behavior.
