Hi,I have a problem..I have a mac os X 10.6.8, and I have some quarkXpress files that I have to elaborate to convert them in Indesign but in the package that the customer sent to me the files are all "unix executable file" and I can't open them with Indesign or Quarkxpress.. what I have to do??..some files are images, other files are projects.. please help me..

    Ask the client to send you some useable files.

    If the client can't bring you better files, try to find out (like openingn in a text editior) which file type or creator it has and add the extension to the file's name. Be aware that if a file is linked to another one, this link has to be repaired.

    It sounds to me like the client sent you some sort of archive that need to be decompressed.
