Confused a bit

Feb 1, 2013 9:57 PM

Hello, I'm taking a PhoneGap Mobile Apps class this semester in college. I'm using Win7, with CS6. We are the ginny-pig class. First time being taught at school. Please explain. We are using Dreamweaver as our IDE? Now I need to download the PhoneGap files. So according to the PhoneGap book I need a SDK, which Oracle Java SDK is recommended. But...the books says only use version 5 or 6. So I feel like I'm stuck as to what to do. I just want to get started programming. At school we're using MAC's and Lynda.com explains what to do using a MAC. The teacher wants us to use Dreamweaver. What are my other options using Dreamweaver with another SDK? Thanks Carol K.

I guess your other option is to ask your teacher.  DW is available for MACs; so too Java for MACs.  Don't know what else do you need.  What does Lynda say on her website about MACs?
