Beat markers on-the-fly in Premiere Elements 11

Hi,

Am evaluating PE11 and have yet to find a way to add beat markers on-the-fly--y'know, like by hitting M or *.

Any advice. (No, am not interested in the apps auto-beat detection.)

Welcome to the forum.

Unless it has changed, the * key, on the numeric keypad, can be used to add Markers on the beats, as you play the Timeline. Note: if you are off, you can manually move those, as is needed. Does that particular * (make sure it is the one on the numeric keypad) not work for you?

Thanks for the info, Hunt.

Am running PE 11 on a MBP, and therefore am without a numeric keypad. Bummer.

OK, maybe Steve Grisetti, who runs PrE on both a Mac and a PC, can help you there. Sorry, as I only do PC.

I'm sorry, I don't know what the solution is. But I wish Apple would quit eliminating features without asking its users! Whatever greater efficiency they create by doing so is muting by the workaround you have to find to do a simple task.
