Image size?

Just above the Project Bin on the left side I get a display "DOC: 2.94m/7.06m". What does this information mean? I would like to see the image size (not dimensions) somewhere in the editor, but I have not been able to find it.

    2.94m/7.06

The value on left side represents the pixel dimensions of the merged image , while value on right side is the sum of  pixel dimensions of non-transparent pixels in each layer.

So if you have only one layer in the image both the values will be same.

    Hi,

As said by 27Prac the left side no. represents pixel dimension of merged image and right side represents pixel dimension of layered image.

So if on your image there in only one layer say background layer -

Pixel dimension of layered image ==  Pixel dimension of merged image.(as in the Andaleeb sanpshot)

    Thanks,

Which seems like meaningless information to me ... why would I care that the image is 16.1 megabytes?

I have mine set to document dimensions which is useful for printing as the resolution is also shown. But you need to have inches or centimeters set in preferences.
