basically, I uninstalled After Effects CS6 due to "After effects can't continue; unexpected failure during start-up." I had purchased the Production Premium Collection a couple of months ago, and on Adobe.com it reads that I have purchased the collection, but is still forcing me to either purchase After Effects or download a trial. Am I doing something wrong? Or once I download the trial, do I just insert the Production Premium Serial key? (I did use the official uninstaller of Adobe After Effects CS6 in the application's folder).
Did you receive any specific error messages during the installation process? You can review and interpret your installation logs by following the steps listed at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5 -cs5.html.
It finally let me re-install; but I'm still receiving the same error at start-up. (After Effects can't continue; unexpected failure during start-up) I did not recieve any error messages during installation. thanks for your help Jeff.
Ok moving this discussion to the After Effects forum. The users in this forum may have additional suggestions which you can implement. Also which operating system are you using? By the reference to the uninstaller being in the Applications folder I am guessing you are using a version of Mac OS?
