AFter finally making the switch to Firefox, as suggested by many, I find that when i go to a "help" screen in Premier or After Effects that I am put back into a Windows IE9 environment,
which just seems to "lock up" - and, no help is available. Is there some sort of configuration i can do in Adobe that will eliminate this problem? I am NOT experienced with registry
stuff, or thngs like that...
How to make web links open in Firefox by default
Now I got it.
When you open Help, you get a little dialog in the lower right that says Content Available for Download. Click that and the Help Manager opens, where you can download the PDFs and set them to open from your local drive instead of going online when you need Help.
If you really, really want IE to never bother you again,
you can use 'GodMode / Turn Windows features on or off' to entirely remove IE forever.
