I have been using Elements 8 with no problems. All of a sudden when I open the program and hit Edit, it crashes the whole computer with a bluescreen. The only major change to my software has been an update to Norton 360 for this laptop, a Toshiba Satellite P775D.
Thank you for the suggestion, but I have already tried this. I tried it again just in case, but the computer crashed again. I can't get to EDIT in order to delete the preference file. Maybe you have another way to delete it?
you can manually delete the preferece file located at
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\8.0\Editor\Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 pref file.
If you don't find the location press ctrl +r type %appdata% to get the Roaming path.
