Elements 8 causes blue screen.

Feb 5, 2013 8:10 PM

I have been using Elements 8 with no problems. All of a sudden when I open the program and hit Edit, it crashes the whole computer with a bluescreen. The only major change to my software has been an update to Norton 360 for this laptop, a Toshiba Satellite P775D.

Plese try after deleting the preference file of PSE Editor.

Press ctrl+Alt+shift just before application launch, and press yes to delete the preferece file.

you can manually delete the preferece file located at

    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\8.0\Editor\Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 pref file.

If you don't find the location press ctrl +r type %appdata% to get the Roaming path.
