Can I add a 3d model from SketchUp into an InDesign document and publish it as part of an interactive book for the IPad?

    It has been a long time since I ran SketchUp. It has several export types, so I don't see why you cannot load images from it.

     

    I believe the free version is usable for personal use.

    I actually want to insert an interactive 3d model into my EBook for the Ipad in a similar fashion to what you can do with the IBook Author from Apple.

     

    The iBook Author clip you referenced is importing the collada data from the 3d object—that's definately not an option with an epub export and not likely with DPS either:
