InDesign CS5 - custom dictionary

Feb 7, 2013 5:25 AM

Hi,

I have a text file contains more than 1,00,000 words. I need to add this words in a separate dictonary file and load in InDesign application. When I import this text file using Edit > User Dictionary, InDesign appliction quits automatically.

Is there any possible way to import this text file in a custom dictionary?

Thanks!!

Have you tried adding it via Preferences > Dictionary > plus sign to Add User Dictionary? Is it a purely txt file consisting of word entries separated by a hard return, and no other formatting or characters?

Windows or Mac? Version and patch level of ID?

This sounds like it might be a font problem, but you should try a new user account to see if it works there.
