When using Premiere Pro CS6, some footage displays as solid green with no imagery in the preview in the project library folder or in source manager and sometimes it tends to be in both.
When this happens in the source manager, the software will slow down and freeze. The only way forward is to open task manager and end the task.
Once this has happens you attempt to reopen the software you get the attached screenshot. At which point the only way forward is to reboot the machine in order to go forward.
It seems that the user only gets 3 minutes worth of working time, followed by 10 minutes for rebooting the machine and trying to get back to work.
Any ideas? Same problem happens on a Mac, so I believe it is a problem with the video files being used, by the user that is having the problem. User converted some videos to H.264 video format and included these in the project.
Software: Adobe Premier Pro (Adobe Creative Suite 5 Production Premium)
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64Bit
Graphics card: NVIDIA Quadro FX 5800 (4GB)
That kind of problem is "usually" a video driver issue
What is your nVidia driver version?
Right click in any open area of the Windows desktop
Select NVIDIA Control Panel from the popup window
Select SYSTEM INFORMATION at the lower left corner
Driver version should be the 1st line in Details
I have just updated to :
Windows 8 64-bit, Windows 7 64-bit, Windows Vista 64-bit
I will let you know if I still have the same problem...
