Text frame size doesn't match document set up

Hello everyone! I have a document with the following specs:

Based on these specs, my text frame size should be:

 

Width: 6.69 - 1.28 - 0.75 =  4.66

Height: 9.61 - 1.0347 - 0.75 = 7.8253

 

The actual text frame I get is: Width: 4.66 & Height: 7.735. So the width is Ok but not the height. Any ideas?

 

Using Indesign CS6 on a PC with Windows Vista Ultimate.

    CS5.5 on Vista Ultimate

    Can you provide a snip as shown?

    Current releases do allow for variable page sizes within a document which would cause your dilemna.

    Are you resetting the margins, or was the athe spec you entered originally in Document Setup? Sounds a little like the margins might have been reset on a document page but not the master, or vice versa.

    Here's the snip. As you can see the Y location is showing 1 inch and it should be 1.0347 ( I have selected the text frame to the right). The X location matches the inside margin. This is a book.

    This is the setup of the original document. I double checked the master pages and they have the same specs.

    Something else I just noticed. The red frame underneath the text frame has the correct dimensions. But my text frame in blue doesn't match it. Somehow is shifted upwards. By the way I can adjust the frame to the correct size manually. But I will have do it page by page!

    Peter, on second thought, I was reviewing the template used for the book and it had different margins. So, how do I go about changing the text box size to match the actual margins without having to change each page? The master pages have the correct margins.

    Cange the margins to mathch the existing frame first, then enable Layout Adjustment, and finally, reset the margins to what they should be.

     

    And make sure that the zero point on the ruler is at the corner of the page. A reset zero point can give you the wrong corrdinates on a perfectly correct layout.
