Lightroom install

Installed lightroom and tried to open the application. A window popped up saying "the application was unable to start correctly." Can i reinstall??

What system? that error indicates a system problem because soem requirment is not met...

Why would other program work then? I have had no problems with Photoshop but i am unable to open lightroom. I don't believe its because there are requirements not met I think its bc it was installed properly. Still trying to figure out how to reinstall.....
