Any reason why? They're suppose to be the same as EOS-1D X files and LR and CR opens these files fine.
The 1D-C is not supported - simple as that, Sydney. You can't assume that files from a camera with an apparently identical sensor as that of a supported camera will also be supported.
I can edit the CR2 file and put in the camera-id of the 1DX and it opens just fine. Just annoying that I have to hack it.
Here is an automator app to convert 'C' files to 'X' which can then be read by LR and Photoshop:
