Upgraded (Mac) Safari 10.5.8 to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 now InDesign will not open. Thanks a million in advance for any help.
The best bet is to uninstall, run the cleaner tool (http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation -problems.html), and reinstall the software. Adobe products on a Mac are not happy with updating the OS without a reinstall.
Hi Larry, Thanks so much for acknowledging my question. Phone calls to Apple and Adobe have not resolved anything. Question. I backed up everything on Time Machine when I started having problems
with freezing, shutting down of certain other programs before I upgraded to Snow Leopard. If I uninstall CS3, will all my work that is saved on Time Machine be unaffected? I have it on an external HD.
If I reinstall the discs, will all of my files be "re-housed" into the program again of all of my old work. I am just not that computer smart. And, should I think about upgrading to a newer version of InDesign.
I do not use Photoshop much, never Illustrator or Dreamweaver. Thanks a million and may all of your cattle multiply! Sissi
It shouldn't affect the TimeMachine backup. The reinstalled app will be the same (except for changes in the preferences you may have made) so should not make a difference to the previously saved files.
