Creating an effect within a page.

I am trying to recreate this effect (the line swooping upward, it looks as though there is a page overtop of the back page). I changed the orientation of the picture already, and that looks as it does in this picture, but cannot think of a way to do the other part. I am attempting to make another brochure for my employer with the same affect, but am unable to get a hold of the woman who made this in the first place. Any help would be great! Thank you.
