Installing

I have installed Adobe Reader 10x to my Macintosh.  Everytime I try to open a PDF document it tells me I have to download Adobe Reader.  The installation process goes all the way to completion.  What is wrong?

    Did you install the Reader application that you downloaded? What OS are you running? Can you open the Reader application on your computer? If so you can use it to open pdf files?

    I figured it out. When I clicked to get the Adobe Reader icon in my list it told me that "preview" was presently being used so I had to change it to Adobe Reader. hope that doesn't mess up other stuff on my computer!
