InDesign CS6 crashing with exisiting InDesign library

Feb 12, 2013 9:02 AM

I have an existing InDesign library that I began creating with CS3, and I have used it with CS4 and CS5 as well.

Now that I am using CS6, when I try to pull items from that library, it crashes InDesign.

Any advice/others having the same issue? Thanks.

Operating system? If it's a Mac, upload the crash report to http://pastebin.com/ and post a link here and we'll analyze it.

Workaround: Drag your library items into a CS5 document in CS5, save, open the CS5 document in CS6, and see what you get.

Hmm. Well, I don't know what to tell you.

What if you export an item from CS5 as Snippet and open that Snippet file in CS6? Snippets and libraries sometimes the same format internally (there is actually some variation).

What if you drag items into the document in CS5 and then drag them into a new library? Any change?
