Adobe Encore & Blu-ray using CS6

Feb 12, 2013 11:16 AM

I am having a hard time burning certain Blu-ray disc. The Sony RW Blu-ray works all the time. when I want to place it on HP or Phillips Blu-ray - R Encore freezes up. and you have to turn the Blu-ray Disc off.

Does adobe have another way to burn Blu-ray Disc?

Thanks,

Joe

You want to ask Encore questions in that forum http://forums.adobe.com/community/encore

When you go there to ask, more information is needed Information FAQ http://forums.adobe.com/message/4200840

Make an iso instead and burn it with e.g. ImgBurn or Nero.

    See if that will help.

RW Blu-ray works all the time.

On a side note, Blu-ray rewritable disks are called BD-RE's  (for Recordable/Erasable) not RW's.

I had an issue burning BD-R's on a Pioneer BD drive with Encore; it would hang up.  I had to update the drive's firmware.    On that same drive I had issues burning DVD's with Encore, but other programs worked.  However, when I switched to DVD-R (from +R) it works ok.  Not sure if what was the +/- or just a different brand.   Not sure this note helps, but FWIW ...
