History: I started having runtime errors (Win C++ library) when trying to open one of the Plug-ins, in Photoshop Elements 11 (was working OK to start with). At one point I decided to reload PSE 11 and tried to open the Adobe Application Manager and noticed that it did not open. Just started to open but just stopped without any error indication. The runtime error was only connected to the Plug-in.
PSE 11 seams to work OK apart that you cannot open one plug-in which is giving the runtime errors.
AAM cannot be openet.
OS= Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit, Service Pack 1
Error message received when opening the PSE 11 Plug-in:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

I am talking to the support people of the Plug-in provider about the runtime error, but they cannot help with the AAM.
Is this a new installation of the plug-in or did you copy it from a previous version of PSE?
New installation and it did actually work for a while until I for some reason wanted to check if a new version existed. So started the update and as it just went on and on I interrupted the downloading. Ever since I’ve had this error? have also tried this fix
Have a look at this and see if it helps:
