Alternative to FileReference

Feb 13, 2013 10:20 AM

Hello,

I'm running into an issue using FileReference.  It appears to be related to what I believe to be a wierd bug in Flash player causing the 32 bit version of IE crash on systems in our environment running Flash Player 11.1 (64bit fp install, 64bit IE works fine, just 32 bit crashes).

We're checking with IT about the option of upgrading Flash player which seems to fix the problem.

In the meantime.  Is there any other way to save some text data (csv file) to a file on the users machine?  I think FileReference.save is the only real way, unless I wanted to write the data out to a file on the server and use a urlrequest to download the file.  Correct?
