when I click DVD and try to burn a dvd NO BURNERS DETECTED but click on avchd it find it why not DVD it work find on elements 7 my camcorder is a sony dv

Are you saying that you have version 7 installed on the same camcorder and it can burn directly to a DVD but version 10 can not? (I don't know what version 7 had AVCHD disc burning capabilities.)

Welcome to the forum.

The most common issue, when one receives a "Burner Not Detected," or similar error message in PrE, is a conflict with other software on the computer, that "hooks" the burner at bootup, and reports that is not really a DVD burner installed (most often it is defining the DVD burner as a removable HDD), to the OS. No I took 7 off and I meant to say it work in DVD in 7 you are right no avchd in 7
