New text does not obey style

Feb 16, 2013 9:11 PM

I have an ID document with styles in place. I just added a new 3-col text box and text to it, applied my "Body" style and the text actually has a different font applied to it!  No + sign next to the body name.

Any thoughts on where this text is taking its instruction from, if not the style applied to it?

thank you!

An applied Character Style would be one explanation…

… and a nested style could also cause a different font.

When nothing is selected and you click on a style (Character Style and/or Paragraph Style) it becomes the default choice of style. When you later start writng these styles are applied automaticaly.
