SkinnablePopupContainer doesn't always close

Hi all,

I'm creating and closing a SkinnablePopupContainer using actionscript as follows:

alertPopup.width = 640;

alertPopup.height = 83;

alertPopup.x = 0;

alertPopup.y = 126;

alertPopup.siteId = dataToPush.currentLocation.lid;

alertPopup.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, function():void { alertPopup.close(); });

alertPopup.open(this, false);

And then am closing it later from within the parent View using

alertPopup.close();

This is called after a user taps on the screen. The problem I'm having is while this works *most of the time* there are a few occasions when it doesn't. I've put some trace commands before and after and I've found that the close call appears to have been skipped over. I'm not sure if it's being called and is failing or if for some reason is not being called at all. The occasions it doesn't close the popup are irregular but it does occur 2 or 3 times out of 10.

Does anyone have any idea how I can track this and/or what might cause the popup not to close? Is there another method of basically destroying or closing the window to ensure it does in any circumstance close?

Thanks,

Welly
