Chrome issue while using navigateURL(url, "_self")

Hi,

 

     I am getting busy cursor when calling the navigateURL(url, "_self") in chrome browser. Remaining all browsers it works fine, no issue. Please help me......

    Do you test locally or did you put your files already on a server?

    No need for the '_self' as that's the default for the function anyhow. Remove that and see if the issue still exists.

    Yeah I tested locally and in server. I found the issue. In my project, it have alerts...those are fired for every 30 sec that means refresh the alters. I triggered one event to open jnlf applet by calling servlet from front end, but at the same time the alert call is fired. at that time this issue is coming...so any idea about this....?

    You're explicitly firing off a JavaScript alert() every 30 seconds? It's a modal so it can interfere with other things because you must answer or close the modal before more processing can happen. Is it accurate you're firing a JS alert()?

    Its not JavaScript alert().........In my case alert means when any modifications (like add or delete ) in application the customer will get mails...these are the alerts. so every 30 sec the mails are refreshed. sorry for not clear about alert. So these alerts are fired from front end. I think u got my point. so any idea?

    So every 30 seconds, only in Chrome, you're having an issue loading an activeX or java applet that should load based on if the user does something to interact with your database (add/update/delete)?
