I am working with an application that has an embedded browser. It seems to be closest to the IE6 engine in quirks mode. Is there a way to change the user agent or browser engine used when rendering the design view within Dreamweaver so that it is closer to how it will look within my application?
Ok, thanks for the help. My current process is to upload to our test server and view it from within the application. I am currently using Dreamweaver on a mac, and though I have IE6 in quirks mode on my PC, it's just as quick to upload and test as to copy to the PC to test. I was just hoping to eliminate having to upload to view every single change.
It's not currently possible in DW.
You can make a suggestion to the development guys here:
Per your suggestion, I have submitted a feature request. While this would be very helpful for me, I understand that this is a much older version of IE, and therefore probably not a high priority. I will be surprised if Adobe does anything with this, as there probably isn't a huge amount of demand for it.
