Warp tool, please help!!

Hi,

I'm new to the adobe forum, so here goes...

 

I've been trying to recreate a similar curve and perspective to the attached logo but have failed, I have tried a combination of warping tools, free transform and text to path placement but cannot get it right, can anyone help

    What is your problem?

    Does the stroke not become warped (only the form)? Expand the stroke either by flattening the transparency before or Object > Path > Outline Stroke.

    NO Will, I just cannot get the correct curve, I am using a diffrent font, but this is a brand refresh and I am trying to understand how the original brand was achieved.Screen Shot 2013-02-19 at 11.22.42.png

    That original text looks hand drawn (the type counters are horrid). I suspect it was all done on paper and may not be exactly accurate within iteself.

    1. Select object

     

    2. Object > Envelope Distort > Make with Mesh, use fewest possible rows and columns to get job done (1 of each in example)

     

    3. Adjust points and handles
