Welcome to the forum.
Please answer the questions at this link:
I tried both of these and I still have an AVCHD video file that won't play the audio.
First, handle video according to http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1015001?tstart=0
Second, read Bill Hunt on Audio Conforming http://forums.adobe.com/thread/726693
Premiere Pro 6.0.1
Sony FS100 AVCHD to SDXC card
These are the first over an hour clips I've used
3.49 GHz Intel Core i7
16GB 1600 MHz RAM
MVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2048MB
So I noticed there is audio for the first 10 minutes. As I explored it more Premiere tires to get all the audio because there was a tatus bar at the bottom that continued on the bottom right. But it stops and then no more audio appears. It's like it get's stopped or stuck.
I have (4) 1TB 7200 RPM all RAID 0, and then a seperate system drive that's an SSD. No lack of speed!
>Premiere Pro 6.0.1
I think there is an update after that one
All Adobe updates start here and select product, read to see if you need to install updates in number order, or if the updates are cumulative for the individual product http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
I solved my own problem...
solution: My Media cache folders were on my system drive which was only a 160GB SSD and had completely filled. I changed the media cache folders to my larger RAID 0 drive in After Effects (to cover all of them), then I manually found the folders and deleted the files. After rebooting premiere all the files worked.
I'm learning Adobe, one step at a time. Thank you forum!
