Hello all.  I've been trying to recreate this for the past two days and am going nuts.  I have a mac with Adobe Illustrator and I am just learning how to use this stuff but I kind of need this fast for a project which is why I posted up on here.  Can anyone point me in the right direction to accomplish what you see below - white text that has shading/shadow and is on a white background?  Appreciate any help.  Thank you.

Set the text. Change the fill to White. Choose Effect > Stylize > Outer Glow.

Why do you need to move the individual letters?

    nynoobed,

I can click anywhere on those letters and I cant move the individual letters.

If that is what you wish, you canjust group the letters (select all and Ctrl/Cmd+G).

The drop shadow and outer glow effects work just as well on live type as thet do on outlined type.

So keep your type live and you can alter the text as you please.
