How do I copy a symbol to multiple states?

Feb 20, 2013 5:00 AM

I am trying to ad an animation symbol across multiple states, more than 50, and I want to do it all at once instead of having paste it to one state at a time. Does anyone know how to do this?

I'm a little perplexed by your question. If you create a symbol and designate it as "Animation symbol", you'll get a dialog box that will allow you to enter the number of states and various parameters such as Move, Direction, Scale, Opacity, etc. Once you click "OK", your document will be populated with the necessary states, allowing the animation symbol to play out.

Animations are collections of states, therefore copying an animation symbol 50 times to 50 different states wouldn't work.
