Will Illustrator CS6 open Freehand 11 files?

I've used Illustrator for several years and it did it until...

CS6... and now it notifies me that it is an unknown format... in both the Finder and Bridge.

In Bridge I've set FH11 filetype preferences to CS6 and in

the Findera FH11 file was selected and in teh Information Panel, Illustrator 6 was chosen as well as 'Open with...Change All'

I have plenty of Freehand files that I convert on as needed and I don't want to install CS5 just for that purpose.

So... is it working for anyone else?

iMac 3.4 Ghz, 32 gb ram

OSX 10.8.2

Illustrator CS6 16.0.4

Illustrator CS6 doesn't open FH files. You'll need CS5 to open them.

@Monica - see what I mean? (This in regards to my previous post)

...my largest "pet peeve" at the moment is how (very, very!) many people still do not know how to use assorted Google services, Google search... or even email. Most people spend at tthe least 2+ hours per day on the web in thier browser of choice, or with email... and can't be bothered to learn these very simple programs. It's a wonder they try to tackle an advanced piece of software like Illustrator(?!)
